The vision for Accobi began with a complex problem on a factory floor. While working with a local manufacturing company, we discovered that their finance, sales, and factory ticketing systems were entirely disconnected. A standard, established ERP system couldn’t connect these different departments together to produce the required business information. We proactively build a bespoke, internal Business Intelligence (BI) reporting system from the ground up, and the resulting transformation in operational clarity was a revelation.

Through this project, we identified a massive gap in the professional market: traditional accountants simply do not possess advanced data architecture skills, and standard data analysts do not understand the intricacies of management accounting.

Large corporations solve this by hiring expensive, full-time teams of both. But for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), paying thousands for dedicated data contractors is simply unaffordable. Furthermore, we realised it was also unnecessary. Once an automated reporting pipeline is successfully built, an SME does not need a full-time data analyst on the payroll — they only need flexible, part-time support to maintain and adjust the existing reports as the business evolves.

Yet, finding an SME accounting practice that could seamlessly deliver both complex BI automation and rigorous financial compliance was virtually impossible.

That is why Accobi, the union of Accounting and BI was born. By combining cutting-edge data analytics with decades of senior financial leadership, we created a truly hybrid firm. Today, we empower SMEs with the powerful, real-time analytics and strategic financial guidance that was previously a luxury reserved only for the biggest corporations.
